Today my brother and I are driving back to the office from lunch in my LS400 and a Ford Expedition runs the red light while a Dodge Caravan plows right into it. The minivan lifts the Expedition off the ground and his heading straight towards us. I had already slipped the car into neutral and took my foot of the brake to soften any impact, but the two slid past us into the car next to us, missing us by inches. As we looked out our windows we see two kids flying around in the Expedition while the passenger of the minivan was practically laying on the dash(probably no seat belts). A police cruiser was waiting to turn at the intersection, immediatley flipped on his lights and jumped out of the car for assistance as did about 6 other people. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured but the minivan looked totalled while the Expedition had extensive damage. The car next to us only received minor bumper/fender damage. WTF is going with all these people running red lights? Every other day it seems I read here how someone was involved in an accident. Is everyone in THAT much of a hurry? There is certainly a lesson to be learned though about being the first one to leave on a green light. Now excuse me while I go change my underwear. BTW, glad to hear that you, your wife and your soon-to-be family addition are OK. But man, get yourself a rabbit's foot or something. This just wasn't your day.
